Our Visual Identity

The Indigenous Prosperity Centre’s visual identity was created in collaboration with an Indigenous artist to reflect the spirit, relationships, and forward movement that guide our work.

From the IPC logo to the visual elements woven throughout this website, the artwork is more than design. Each piece carries meaning and reflects connection, continuity, and Indigenous economic prosperity across the region. The work was developed with care to ensure the imagery honours the communities we serve.

We are grateful to the artist whose vision helped bring this identity to life.

The Design

The design reflects collective movement, relationships, and shared prosperity. At the center, the paddle represents direction, leadership, and the act of moving forward together. The salmon carries teachings of reciprocity, abundance, and sustainability. The sun face symbolizes renewal, clarity, and strength, while the waves represent the waters that connect our Nations and communities.

Together, these elements express interconnectedness and the role of the Indigenous Prosperity Centre as a gathering place for ideas, partnerships, and opportunity across the South Vancouver Island region.

Artist Bio

My work focuses on visual storytelling through ancestral design, using bold line work and balanced compositions to explore themes of identity, connection, and transformation. I draw from Coast Salish and other ancestral influences while continuing to learn and reconnect with culture through my art.

Through my work, I hope to create pieces that invite reflection and carry meaning beyond the image itself.
